Answer:

We know that color of copper sulphate is blue by which its solution is also blue. When we dip a strip of iron in copper sulphate solution then Fe being highly reactive than copper, it reacts with copper sulphate and displace copper from its salt and form ferrous sulphate which is green in colour by its solution is also look green.

When an iron strip is dipped in copper sulphate, the following displacement reaction takes place:

CuSO4+Fe---->FeSO4+Cu

Blue colour of copper sulphate is discharged as more and more copper forms the brown Cu ppt. The colour of the FeSO4 solution in pale green and hence the blue solution turns pale green.
