Why anaerobic respiration produces less ATP than aerobic respiration?

anaerobic doesn't require oxygen while aerobic require oxygen so oxygen produces more ATP other than an unaerobic

Less ATP molecules are produced in anaerobic respiration when compared to aerobic respiration because the mitochondria of a cell requires a specific amount of oxygen to increase the number of ATP molecules production.
