An old man Mr. Lamb lived alone in a big house with a garden. His home doors were always open for others to enter. He spent most of his time reading books in the garden. His leg was blown while he was serving in the army. He had a tin leg and reconciled himself with such physical impairment. He was positive about life. On the other, there was a fourteen years old boy named Derry whose face had been burnt by acid. He was hated by people and derry enters the garden of Mr. lamb not to steal apple but to feel that place. Also, he enters the garden by climbing the garden wall.
