Explanation:

water enters the roots xylem tissues by a process called osmosis. root hair contain cell sap, which is highly concentrated when compared to salt ions present in the soil. so when we water the plants these salt ions present in the soil blended with water becomes dilute when compared to concentration of cell sap. so this diluted water enters into the root hair through osmosis. as this cell sap becomes diluted than residing tissues,so gradually this water passes through root hair tissues and enters into xylem.

Answer:

The continuous flow of water in root xylem is due to transpiration pull. The water which is lost through the stomata is replaced by xylem vessel. ... The ion-concentration increases inside the root and hence osmotic pressure increases the movement of water from soil into root which occurs continuously.
