Hey friend,
Muslim League -
1. The Mohammedan Anglo-Oriental Association was formed in 1893 to promote support for British and to prevent Muslims from participating in any political movement.
2. Bengal was partitioned in 1905 to create a wedge between the Hindus and the Muslims.
3. Lord Minto, the Viceroy received a deputation of Muslims at Shimla in October 1906 and assured Muslims that their political rights would be safeguarded.
4. The Mohammedan Educational Conference was held at Dacca in December 1906 and it accepted the proposal to form an organisation for Muslims. The Muslim League was established on 30 December, 1906 under the Presidentship of Nawab Salimudin.
Hope it helps!

HOLA friend!!
Rajdeep here....
Why and how was the Muslim League formed?
The Muslim League was formed due to the following reasons:
1. The Hindi Urdu Controversy, 1900: In Uttar Pradesh, petitions in Courts were accepted only in Urdu. The Hindus protested against this and pleaded the court to accept petitions in Hindi, and the Devnagri Script also. Now, the Lt. Governor General, Lord Macdonel, accepted this. This enraged the Muslims, as the value of Urdu language decreased. They started holding meetings to oppose this. The Hindus, too, started holding meetings to accept the challenge. Thus the hostility between the two communities rose.
2. The Aligarh Politics: After the death of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, in 1898, Nawab Mohsin-ul-Mulk led the Aligarh Movement. He severely criticized the Government for giving equal status to the Hindi and Urdu. The Lt. Governor General, Lord Macdonel warned him and said him to either resign or to remain away from criticizing the government. The Nawab cooled down for the time being. However, the Muslim community was enraged.
3. The Anti Partition Movement: Previously, many Muslim nationalists joined the Congress and worked with the Congress in the Anti-Partition Movement. The British first took Sir Syed Ahmad Khan in their side and tried their best to prevent the Muslims from taking part in the main stream of the National Movement. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, who once said "Freedom for India should be attained", completely changed himself, resigned the Congress, and said that there should me a new Province for the Muslim-majority region.
The Muslims demanded for Separate electorates, Separate representation in Municipal and University bodies, Greater representation in Civil, Judicial and Military services. Hence, the Muslim League was formally Established on December, 1906. Its Dhaka session was presided over by Nawab Sallimullah.
Hope my answer is satisfactory...
Thanks!!
