Sukapha Diwas or Assam Diwas, commemorating the advent of the great Ahom ruler Chaolung Sukapha, which is celebrated on December 2 every year, would be celebrated in the national capital this year by the Ahom Sena with a day-long programme at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi on December 2.

Sukapha Divas is celebrated in India because he was the first king of Assam and he's a Tai Ahom king.Tai Ahoms ruled over Assam for 598 years and defeated Mughals 17 times.He was a great king!!
