Why aniline doesn't participate in fc rezction?

Hey.
Aniline is basic due to the lone pair of e− on the N atom. Where as AlCl3 is a Lewis acid as AlAlhas a empty orbital and Cl is electron-withdrawing.
So an acid- base reaction occurs and we get a salt.
