Why aniline less basic than ethyl amine?

Aniline has resonance form that delocalize the nitrogen's lone pair, making the nitrogen less available to accept the proton. so keeping in mind the defination of acid and base we can easily says that this is the exact reason why aniline is less basic than ethyl amine which hydrogen have more tendency to accept proton.
