Why animal cell have small and temporary vacuole?

Vacuoles store water and become turgid when water enters the cell through osmosis. When cell loses water vacuoles helps the cell to retain the shape. Vacuoles also maintain the osmotic concentration within the cell. Animal cells have one or more vacuoles which are smaller in shape.

The work of vacuole is to store products poduced or store waste products. Animal cell have small and temporary vacuole because the cells do not produce much waste products and have nothing much to store in vacuole. Whereas in plant cell, the produce glucose and have to store them in order to carry out respiration, so,plant cells have large vacuoles but animal cells have very small or no vacuole.
