Why Antibiotics are used for bacterial disease not for viruses ?

Antibiotics are strong medicines that treat bacterial infections. Antibiotics won't treat viral infections because they can't kill viruses. You'll get better when the viral infection has run its course. Common illnesses caused by bacteria are urinary tract infections, strep throat, and some pneumonia.

2.Many bacteria make cell wall to protect themselve
3. The antibiotic penicillin blocks the blocks the bacterial process that build cell wall
4. As a result, the growing bacteria become unable to make cell wall and die easily
5. therefore antibiotic works against the bacteria and not against viruses
