Antibiotics don't work against viruses because
Antibiotics are useless against viralinfections. This is because viruses are so simple that they use their host cells to perform their activities for them. So antiviral drugs work differently toantibiotics, by interfering with the viralenzymes instead.

antibiotics cannot kill viruses because bacteria and virus have different mechanisms and machinery to survive and replicate.the antibiotics has no `target` to attack in a virus.however ,antiviral madications and vaccines are specific for viruses
