why antimarkonikov rule is followed in hydroboration oxidation reaction

It is so because Bromine is the only halogen which tends to show free radical reaction.
And Antimarkonikov reaction also follows free radical addition reaction.
Hence Antimarkonikov rule is followed in hydroboration oxidation reaction.
