Antiseptics have low surface tension because -

• Antiseptics are applied on the external body injuries and wounds.

• That's why we expect the fast spreading process of the antiseptic on our skin,in order to get a faster response from the lowest amount of applied medicine.

• Now,this faster spreading process on our body skin is only possible when the surface tension of the antiseptic liquid is lower in amount.

• For this reason, the antiseptic medicines are synthesized is such a way, that the final product gets the lower surface tension as the important physical property.
