why any sound is not heard in space

Sound need a material medium like solid, liquid, gas to travel because Sound travels through the vibration of atoms and molecules in a medium . In space, where there is no air, sound has no way to travel .

as there is no atmosphere in the space so there is no medium to carry sound so we are unable to hear any sound in the space!!
