The main reason why AP Government is planning to shift residential complexes for government employees in Amarvathi is that it is preparing to modify the lands set aside for this purpose at Nelapadu and Rayapudi in this area.
According to the original plan, 1,700 piles were allocated on 85 lakh square feet by the Government to construct these complexes. Three contract agencies had also begun work on the site.
