hi mate

in a household electric circuit is connected to not in series because different home appliances are connected in parallel to one another due to the following reasons.

*The appliances can be operated independently.

*If one appliance is switched off others remain unaffected.

*Each appliance gets same constant voltage.

*In parallel connection of electric appliances, the overall resistance of the circuit is reduced and the current from the power supply will be high.
