Oxygen is in dissolved state in water As temperature rises solubility of oxygen dcreases .It means solubility of dissolved oxygen in warm water is less than that of cold water.This makes aquatic species respirate more comfortably in cold water than in warm.

Hey !!
At a given pressure, the solubility of oxygen in water increases with decrease in temperature. Therefore, the concentration of oxygen in sea is more in cold water and thus the presence of more oxygen at lower temperature makes the aquatic species more comfortable in cold water.
