Because in aerated water bottles, Co, gas is passed through the aqueous solution under pressure since solubility of the gas in water is not very high. In summer, the solubility of the gas in water is likely to decrease since rise in temperature decreases solubility. Pressure becomes too high for the glass bottle to with stand and so explodes. To avoid this, bottles are kept under water.
