why are alcohols less acidic than water?

ince -OH - > -OR - , hence water is more acidic than alcoholsWater is a better acid than alcohol because of the electron donating nature of the alkyl group attached to the oxygen which destabilizes the hydroxide and makes it tougher for the oxygen to donate the proton.

Alcohol are basic as contain hydroxyl group so they have a ph more than 7 while water is neutral and have ph 7 .
So ,water has lower ph than alcohol so alcohol is less acidic than water.
