Alloys are commonly used in electrical heating devices because alloys have a high heating capacity and high melting point (>3000°). They can resist up the high heat that flows through the electrical devices .Alloy do not oxidize or burn readily at high temperature.
For example tungsten is used almost exclusively for filament for bulbs and copper and Aluminium are also used in the transmission lines .
