Alloys are homogeneous mixture of two metals or a metal and nonmetal therefore they show properties which are new and not similar to any of the constituent materials alloys are used as a filament in a bulb as their resistive powers are high that is the resist the flow of current much greater than metals and have high melting and boiling points so that they can be sustained at high temperatures. (temperature which is one sole reason why they are used as filament in bulb)
You can also add they do not oxidise easily at high temperatures.
They do not burn even getting white hot.
Thats it!!
Thnx. Hope it helps you!
