Alloys are used instead of the pure metals in the electrical heating devices because they have the less electrical conductivity with the less melting point.
The Alloys does not have any single melting point instead of that they have numerous melting point.
So that’s why the alloys are used in the electrical appliances.

This is because alloys like nichrome and etc have higher resistance as compared to other elements, since heat energy is directly proportional to resistance, according to joules law of heating, alloys are mostly preferred rather than elements. They are also preferred due to high melting point and less oxidation rate.
