To make silk, the cocoon of the silk worm is boiled in water and as a result the worms die in the process of making silk. Hence, animal activists are against it. Since artificial silk is not as fine as natural silk, an alternate way is suggested which is called a non-violent way of making silk.

Answer:

Explanation:

Animal activists are against the producing of silk because the cocoon spins the silk and for obtaining the silk, the cocoon is left in warm or hot water... In this process the cocoon (the moth) dies...

Artificial silk cannot be compared with the cocoon silk as it is not fine and artificial silk is of low quality..

Hope this helps...
