Why are animal activities are against silk use. ​

Explanation:

To make silk, the cocoon of the silk worm is boiled in water and as a result the worms die in the process of making silk. Hence, animal activists are against it. Since artificial silk is not as fine as natural silk, an alternate way is suggested which is called a non-violent way of making silk.

Silk is woven from the cocoons of silkworms, which requires killing the silkworm. In this process, matured cocoons of silkworms are boiled to obtain pure silk reel. While boiling the silk larvae inside the cocoon will die. That is why this process is not supported by animal rights activists.
