why are animals are non veg not plants?

evolution is the main reason where change is occur in all living organism if we go in past we will see that plants are also eating animals now the evolution tree clearly shows that that types of plants are get vanished but some are not like pitcher plants , now days animals having locomotory organ by which they hunt and catch their food but plants are not have and we know that plants are autotrophic nutrition by which they  make their own food and also give nutrition to the animals , if the plants became flesh eaters so how can animals survive they derive food from plants and plants want to eat them so how it could happen so this is the main reason behind it .
