why are animals like lions not found in equatorial forest??

Due to greater ranges of temperature and a variating factor within pre-temperate regions, the equatorial forests are not suitable for animals like lions. Excessive heat makes them stay away from equatorial forests. The climatic habitats are not suitable for their life survival.
