Antibiotics do the job of killing the bacteria when a bacteria enters your body and thus prevents the bacteria from multiplying and causing harm to our body.

In viral diseases, our body is attacked by virus not bacteria. So antibiotic doesn't help to kill virus. This is the reason antibiotic is not effective for viral diseases.

It don't helpful against viral diseases because virus do not cell wall, it's consist of RNA and protein and haven't cell wall just like the bacteria have, and antibiotics only works well against bacteria which form cell wall and controls it.
