why are auxiliary memory required

We will also known this by auxiliary storage. It is a secondary memory and volatile memory.its best thing that it does not loose stored data when device powered down.finally it is an external device. . hope

It is required to store data it's not a volatile memory like Ram it stores data for a longer time unless you wanted to delete them. Or you memory become corrupted
