Why are bacteria and fungi considered as

'decomposers' ? what would happened if they do not

continue to decompose?

because they break down the simpler substances .if they will not do no microorganisms will not there in the earth and the plants will die and animals also die and would ruin the habitat.

Answer:

Bacteria and fungi is called decomposer because they decompose waste organic material. They do it by breaking it down into simpler substance. Like dead plants are decomposed and form humus. If they do not continue to decompose,natural balance is distributed.
