Bacteria and viruses are considered immortal because their growth rate per minute is very high. Moreover in the case of bacterias have a very high growth rate in one minute .

If we consider viruses, they cannot be killed until they are in a hosts body . It means that they contain RNA protein which get activated by entering in to a hosts body. That is why they are also very complicated and are the organisms which resembles some characters of living as well as non living beings.

So , due high growth rate of bacteria and viruses rather than mortality rate , they are considered biologically immortal.

Hope it helps you!
