why are bacteria called prokaryotic

Prokaryotic means those who do not have well -define membrane bound Nucleus as well as double membrane organelles such as Mitochondria,Goldi bodies etc.


The main reason why bacteria is called Prokaryotic is due to absense of Membrane bound Nucleus and other double membrane organelles .

sanjeevtiwari1997: It is in proper as the material inside the nuclear membrane is splited all over the cell and work is done i.e. command is given throughout the cell instead of one place.
