why are bags of chip flushed with nitrogen

Chips packets contain fats and if exposed to air, it results in oxidisation of those fats. Oxidisation of fats is called rancidity. To prevent chips from becoming rancid, chips packets are flushed with nitrogen.

bags of chips are filled with nitrogen because...

as we know that chips is a oily substances....

and if it kept free in air it get rancid in the means it get oxidized...and due to which their smell and taste get lost
...

so,to prevent from rancidity chips bags are filled with nitrogen.....
