Helium is used because it is very Lighter gas and It can Fly more easily than Hydrogen.
It Comes in Intert Gas and Having Complete outermost shell...

no bro u are wrong hydrogen is the lightest of all gases

They both are very light and less dense but hydrogen catches fire very easily .Helium is inert gas which means it does not catch fire easily.
