Bells are made from metals because when two metals strike with each other produce sound but when wood strikes it doesn't produce sound
Metals are sonorous* but non-metals are not sonorous that's why bells are made from metals and not from wood because it is a non metal
* Sonorous is one of the physical properties of a metal, by which sound is produced when a metal is struck
