Why are bells made of metals and not from wood?

Bells are made from metals because when two metals strike with each other produce sound but when wood strikes it doesn't produce sound


Metals are sonorous* but non-metals are not sonorous that's why bells are made from metals and not from wood because it is a non metal


Sonorous is one of the physical properties of a metal, by which sound is produced when a metal is struck
