bryophytes called amphibians of plant kingdom because they live in water and also on land

the four major difference between bryophytes and pteridophytes are as follows:

1. bryophytes dont have well differentiated body where as pteridophytes body is differentiate into true leave,stems and roots

2. bryophytes dont have vascular tissues where as pteridophytes have vascular tissues

3.in bryophytes cells in plant body is haploid where as in pteridophytes cells in plant body is diploid

4.In bryophytes sporophytic phase totally depend on gametophyte where as in pteridophytes sporophytic phase is independent and autotrophic
