why are carbon compounds Good conductor of Heat.

 I think carbon compounds are poor conductor of heat and electric. Because they don't have free electrons in the conduction band so they can't conduct well. When the temperature is increased, more electrons acquire energy and start contributing to conduction.

Because carbon compound contains tetrahedrally bonded to the carbon atoms . In this compound electrons were attached closely we can say that it is good conductor of heat due to its strong bonding.
