Why are carboxylic acids are more acidic than alcohlols?

The main difference is that their functional groups are different.

Alcohol - OH

Carboxylic Acids - COOH

Alcohols contain 2 carbon atoms

and 5 hydrogen atoms but carboxylic acids contain 2 carbon molecule and 1 hydrogen molecule.
