why are caterpillar tracks used in battle tanks instead of tyres

it enables the tank to go through tricky places...if it had tires, the tires would hit a sharp stone and puncutre or explode...but if ur father / mother are in the armed forces (just like mine) u shoul ask them to take u to see a tank

it used because to increase the area of contact with ground as a result they can cross sinking surface as the as the pressure exerted on the ground is less
