Why are cells small sized?
Answers
The important point is that the surface area to the volume ratio gets smaller as the cell gets larger. Thus, if the cell grows beyond a certain limit, not enough material will be able to cross the membrane fast enough to accommodate the increased cellular volume.

Cells are small sized because it is the only unit which makes tissues and then our organs and organ makes organ system and organ system makes human body . first of all ,the life exist from a small cell then it will grow and develop into a whole human body. For example for growing a tree we will take a small seed and we will water that's seed everyday in the sunlight and after providing proper nutrition we will get healthy plant similarly our human body is also develop from a single cell.
