Social workers stepped in after deeming that the parents' obsession with gaming equated to "neglect," according to The Sun.
The child was said to have been taken from the family home by social services at Walsall Council earlier this month.
Claude Knights, chief of charity Kidscape, said: "The computer gaming must have been extreme use. I expect the parents were spending hours in front of a screen.
