Why are coils of electric toaster and electric irons made up of an alloy rather than a pure metal explain the answer briefly

to increase resistance to produce heat alot as well as for not melting easily..

ahh, here we go again

Alloys are poor conductors of bijlee thus have a high resistance when current passes it heats up.
