why are coils of electric toasters and electric irons made of an alloy rather than a pure metal ? Whyy??

Conductor of electric heating devices such as toaster or electric iron is made of an alloy rather than pure metal because if electric heating devices are made up of pure metalthen the metal melt easily when heat is increase and pure metal get corrode easily.Alloy does not corrode easily and its melting point is high......

coils of electric toaster and irons are made of an alloy rather than a pure metal because the resistance of alloys in more than its constituent metals.accordingto joules law of heating,due to high resistance they produce more heat. hope it helped u
