why are coins of low value printed in large quantities ??

Answer:Nov 05, 2018 · First, coins are minted, not printed. And, unless a specialty mint - which would have fewer coins minted anyway, they are minted for face value. Nothing more, nothing less. Using that as the reasoning, “low value” to “high value” coins would be penny, nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar and dollar coins.
