why are Copper and Aluminium are used as conducting wires

because they both conduct good electricity and there resistivity is low and that causes less heat loses.

Good Question .

Copper and aluminum are metals . Metals are good conducter of heat and electricity .They are also highly ductile .

But a question arises why we do not use other metals like gold , silver which were highly ductile to make wire . we don't use them because they are highly expensive .

Copper and aluminum is cheap .
