as covalent compounds share the electrons and form bonds, there is no excess electron to conduct electricity. thats why....

shubhikavinny: COVALENT COMPOUNDS ARE POOR CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRICITY BECAUSE THE DON'T LOOSE THEIR ELECTRONS EASILY AS IONIC COMPOUNDS DOES....... AND THEY ALSO HAVE WEAK BONDS BETWEEN THEM................
shamjap: they share too know??
