crocodiles have been classified as reptiles in spite of having four chambered heart because they have dry , non-glandular skin, epidermal scales are also present . they are cold blooded , oviparous etc. all these features are specific for reptials . so crocodiles are reptiles .

we human have the ability to maintain constant body temperature know as homeostasis but crocodile can't regulates their constant body temperature as they don't have homeostasis ability

homeostasis is very energy consuming means it is expensive that's why only few organism have this ability

as crocodile can't afford homeostasis that's why they are cold blooded
