An agricultural field is considered to be an artificial ecosystem due to following reasons.
It is man made ecosystem hence considered as artificial ecosystem.
It has all the components of the ecosystem. Abiotic factors include air, water, soil etc. Biotic factors include all the living organisms like plants, animals and microbes.
It comprises various phenomena such as flow of energy, food chains, food webs etc.
For example, an agriculturist cultivating rice can culture the fish as well in the same farm. Water is made to stand in the rice field which allows the growth of planktons. Fish feed on these planktons. Fish are fed by cranes. Cranes are fed by snakes.
Planktons-----> Fish ------> Cranes------> Snakes
