India is an agriculuturistic state and it faces water scarcity . Due to which the farmers of india draw out water from the dams for irrigation. Good farming standardise the country's economy.

When the project of building of dams was started people thought that it has various advantages and regarded it as temples. Dams have advantages like can control floods prevent soil erosion generate electricity recreation provide water for irrigation afforestation
