why are degradation of environment

    Environment comprises of everything around us, especially that existed naturally on Earth. The environment and its beauty, quality, quantity, life period etc, are all affected by people over centuries now.

    Environment is degraded very badly due to many reasons in the last five decades. The main cause is the doing of human beings due to uncontrolled development, helplessness , age old lifestyle practices and ignorance.

1. Burning of wood for cooking in rural areas.
2. Burning of leaves (dry) fallen on the ground from trees by cleaners and residents.
3. Use of fossil fuels like diesel, petrol , kerosene which generate greenhouse gases.
4. Dust
5.Deforestation .. cutting of trees for development or for residence purposes and not growing enough trees again to restore greenery.
6. Harmful chemicals and wastes are discharged into rivers or onto useful lands.
7. Spoiling of agricultural lands by fumes, chemicals, soot coming out of many factories nearby.
8. Excess use of energy in any form and wasting energy.
