aluminium is a good conductor of heat. therefore when we wrap hot food in aluminium foil it keep the food warm. aluminium on reaction with oxygen forms a layer of Al2O3 which renders the metal passive and protect it from further reaction. hence it is not harmful for us.

aluminium foil has properties that keep the food packed inside it fresh for a long time as it acts as abarrier against light, oxygen, odour, flavour, moistness and germs thus avoiding food decay.

this also help in stopping the fat in the food , oxidizing or turning rancid.

IT also allows storing without  refrigerator.

HOPE IT HELPS YOU.
